Big Communications has promoted Jamie Heath to the role of managing partner with immediate effect.

The promotion of Heath, former client director and head of account handling, coincides with the promotion of Matt Butterworth to panning and digital director.

In his new role as managing partner, Heath, who joined the agency in January, will divide his time between ongoing client facing commitments and overseeing the day-to-day operations of Big. As managing partner he will also develop the agency’s teams, and lead recruitment drives to attract talent to the business.

Butterworth, who also joined the agency in January, has now been tasked with managing the integration of digital and social into the planning function.

Dylan Bogg, CEO of Big Communications, said of the two new appointments: “Jamie’s immediate impact on joining Big has clearly marked him out to be a great leader for the agency. Along with extended and expanding partnerships with incumbent clients, a whole host of exciting new brands, and fantastic new talent, the new look Big management team will underline our position as one of the UK’s most exciting integrated agencies.

“Jamie and Matt are continuing to strengthen the team, with new creative, planning, digital and account handling talent joining the business on a weekly basis.”
