ITV has signed up watch brand Sekonda as a sponsor of its forthcoming prime time series Surprise Surprise, to be broadcast on ITV1.

The deal will see Sekonda branded idents produced by Springets and Fin bookend the broadcast itself in addition to related online, mobile and licensing elements.

Daryl Leigh, account manager at ITV, said: “We are delighted to be extending our relationship with Sekonda and welcome them as the integrated sponsor of the new series of Surprise Surprise. We look forward to working with them to make the partnership a success both on and off air.”

Trevor James, brand director at Sekonda, added: "We are extremely pleased to have secured the sponsorship of Surprise Surprise, which will coincide with our most successful sales period. We feel that ITV are a perfect partner and value our relationship with them, which is why we are spending a record amount of money on TV media this year. The quality of their productions and professionalism of their staff are second to none, which is a significant factor when making our media spend commitments, and we look forward to a successful partnership.”

Hosted by Holly Willoughby the series will bestow life-changing surprises for ordinary people who have achieved extraordinary deeds following the success of an earlier season, which notched up a peak audience of 5.3m viewers.
