McCann Worldgroup appoints Mark Lund as CEO of all UK businesses
McCann Worldgroup has appointed Mark Lund as CEO of McCann Worldgroup UK, a role which he will take up in October.
The new role will see him responsibile for integrating McCann Worldgroup’s operations and more than 1,500 employees throughout the UK, covering areas including advertising, digital marketing, PR and more.
Of his new role, Lund said: “I’m very excited about joining McCann at a time when they have become a leader in integrated marketing communications as well as in global advertising. The potential of this is particularly strong in the UK where Worldgroup has some brilliant companies whose capabilities span the broadest range of channels. I’m greatly looking forward to working with all of them as we develop further the collaborative strength to help our clients grow their businesses and brands.”
Lund joins for London-based agency Now, where he was co-founder and managing partner.
Luca Lindner, president of McCann Worldgroup, said: “Mark understands the complexities of our business today and has a grasp of the challenges facing brands looking to connect with consumers in the marketplace. His extensive leadership both in business and in government communications provides him with a valuable perspective on how best to leverage all of our multiplatform disciplines to benefit our clients and drive integration across all of our agencies.”
The new comes on the same day as Interpublic, who owns McCann Worldgroup, reported a $1.76bn profit for Q2.
