Time Out is to produce one of the first apps for the new Amazon Fire phone, released last week.
Working with digital agency UI Centric, Time Out said the app will take advantage of features such as head tracking as well as the 3D capabilities of the device.
The magazine revealed the app will also use the motion and gesture controls to create “a clean and uncluttered user interface by giving the user access to detailed information, options and menus with a simple flick of the phone.”
“Our audience are socially active, mobile savvy and early adopters of technology, so it is a perfect match for us and this ground-breaking handset development,” said Dave Cook, CDO Time Out Group.
“It was a great first project for the newly formed Time Out Labs team and the team from UI Centric were as reliable as ever.”
UI Centric has worked with Time Out over the past year on a variety of projects, including the development of their soon to be released responsive design website.
