A group of volunteer filmmakers are to travel to Rio de Janeiro to document the Street Child World Cup, a warm-up event for the real thing which aims to challenge preconceptions of street children in Brazil and around the world.

Filming events in the city for 10 days from March 28 the team will record daily ‘Match of the Day’ highlights of all the goals and games for a dedicated Youtube channel, in addition to a number of documentaries recording workshops undertaken in the favelas.

One volunteer, commercials director Dave Mills, is running a corporate sweepstake within the advertising industry targeting revenues of £3k to help finance the work of SCWC.
