Adidas extends World Cup sponsorship until 2030
Adidas has announced that it has extended its sponsorship of the World Cup until 2030.
The sports brand has been an official partner with Fifa since 1970.
“Over the last 40 years, Adidas and Fifa have worked closely together to develop football worldwide. Therefore, it was a natural step for us to extend one of the most successful partnerships in the history of sports marketing,” said Herbert Hainer, Adidas chief executive.
Hainer went on to describe the pair as ‘the perfect match’, adding “We can help develop and enhance the standing of football worldwide, and Fifa can help us achieve our objectives. Both parties are working towards the same goal.”
The value of the deal has not been revealed.
