Disney launches augmented reality app allowing fans to create and star in videos alongside its famous characters
Disney has launched the Disney Infinity Action! app, allowing fans to star in videos alongside well-known Disney characters.
It comes as Disney prepares to release its Infinity video game later this month.
The companion app will support the game by allowing fans to create short videos which can then be shared on YouTube, Facebook or by email.
Fans use the movie maker feature to appear alongside characters such as Mr. Incredible, Sulley, and Jack Sparrow. They can also choose from 30 different animations and props such to create a unique mini-movie.
It will be launched on Apple’s iOS tomorrow, 15 August, and will then appear on the Android and Windows Phone platforms.
According to Venture Beat a second app will be launched in the coming months building on the Toy Box feature of the Infinity video game.
