Very.co.uk agrees sponsorship deal for ITV2 dating programme Girlfriends

Very.co.uk has agreed a deal with ITV Commercial which will see it sponsor the next series of ITV2 dating show Girlfriends.

The Emma Willis-hosted programme, which follows three single women in their hunt to find the perfect man, will be sponsored by the Shop Direct Group owned online store during the run of its second series, beginning on 14 August.

Jon Owen, retail director at Very.co.uk, said that the campaign would allow the brand to communicate its range of products as being “perfect for date nights and big nights out” and that “whatever the occasion, we can offer women fashion and beauty solutions to ensure they look great and feel amazing at all times.”

Candie Rummery, sales manager for ITV Sponsorship, added: “We are delighted that Girlfriends is back for a second series this year and that Very.co.uk has chosen to sponsor the show. Our audience is very much aligned with the Very.co.uk key target market and both brands share a fun and fresh thinking approach.”

The deal has been negotiated by ITV Commercial and Carat and will run across TV, online and mobile activity.
