Marks & Spencer has revealed that it will launch a new marketing campaign on Monday, built around the strapline Make Today Delicious, which will cover online, print and TV.

The campaign will feature a series of TV ads created by Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R and voiced by actress Anna Friel, with the first 40 second ad focusing on a summer barbeque. This ad is set to be unveiled during the Coronation Street ad break on Monday.

Steve Sharp, executive director of Marketing at M&S, said: “Spending time with friends and family is a priority for our customers, but with no major national celebrations this year they’re placing even greater emphasis on personal, more everyday events.

“Food is being used as a way to bring people together and make those moments more memorable – be it a BBQ, a picnic or a Sunday roast. This campaign taps into this trend – showing exactly how great food can transform the mundane into something special.”

The campaign looks to suggest that M&S food can make everyday food moments extra special, and will be applied across the entire M&S Food offer, as well as the dine in for £10 deal.
