The Mirror has launched Mirror World Footie Manager on Facebook, marking another step into the social gaming sector for the publisher.

Mirror World Footie Manager is The Mirror’s second social gaming venture following the release of 3am Bingo last year.

Designed in partnership with social gaming experts Macaw Games, the fun online football manager game brings real life football management into the virtual world. Wannabe football managers can select, train and build their squad whilst competing against friends and other game players.

Every aspect of running a football club is included in the game, from building up the club facilities and signing sponsorship deals to winning matches.

Jon Dey, commercial partnerships manager at The Mirror, commented: “We are committed to producing and developing first class digital products and this social gaming opportunity acts as a fantastic way to engage and grow our audience.”

Macaw Games director, Steve Gordon, added: “We are very proud to bring our first game to market with the Mirror’s audience of football fans.

“Our games are free to play mid-core sports sims with sponsorship opportunities woven into the storyline giving advertisers a great platform to reach social game players and we look forward to finding the new best football manager on the planet amongst the Mirror audience.”
