Mercedez-Benz UK has appointed Holler to handle its social strategy.

The appointment was made after a 10-way pitch, which the agency claims also included AMV and Weapon7, alongside seven others, to see if tasked with Mercedes-Benz UK’s social strategy and execution.

Holler will aim to help Mercedes-Benz UK engage with younger customers, with a focus on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.

This will mean Holler working to unify the brand’s social presence and incorporate all future marketing campaigns within social activity, and support with instant feedback to customers who have online queries and questions.

David George, marketing director at Mercedes-Benz UK, explained: “We are keen to expand our online community and engage followers with exciting and exclusive content. We look forward to work with Holler to bring the brand to life with our new cars for our new target audience and to develop creative and innovative opportunities for all Mercedes-Benz UK followers.”

James Kirkham, managing director at Holler, added: “This is a brand who are already creating tremendous communications across multiple channels. We now want to make sure they're talked about by all the right people in all the right places, marrying up their business ambitions with becoming a number one best in class social brand.”
