BBC’s director of marketing and audiences, Helen Normoyle, has announced that she is leaving the BBC to become chief marketing officer at DFS.

Responsible for the brand strategy of the BBC since 2010, Normoyle will leave her current role in May.

She said in an email to staff: “It is very hard to leave such an energetic and talented team who have achieved so much - but I do so knowing that the Marketing & Audiences team will continue to thrive under new leadership.”
