RatedPeople.com, which connects the public to local tradesmen, has launched a £2m new national advertising campaign this month, created by VCCP.

Media planning and buying for the campaign, which will cover TV, press, radio and online, has handled by the7stars.

Mark Jarvis, founding partner at the7stars, said: “RatedPeople.com is based on such a simple but powerful idea – its huge growth to date has already shown that it fills a real need in the market. Its first national media campaign should make many more people aware of the service it offers – and who doesn’t need help finding a good plumber?”

Property expert Phil Spencer provides the voiceover for the ads, which feature the tagline ‘For quality, local tradesmen’. The campaign will run until mid-February.

Tariq Dag Khan, RatedPeople.com’s CMO, said: “This campaign marks a huge milestone for us – we’ve done smaller campaigns before, and regional tests, but nothing on this scale. We know that together with the7stars we have laid the groundwork for this campaign to take RatedPeople.com to the next level.”
