In order to raise sponsorship to compete in the London 2012 Olympic Games, athlete James Ellington has turned to eBay.

Ellington has begun to advertise himself on the online auction site, with a reserve of £30,000, as he seeks a sponsor, whose logo will appear on his kit at training and press events.

The 100m, 200m and relay sprinter has been forced to use the site after battling back from four years of injuries, which saw his world ranking slide, with many sponsors overlooking him as a result.
