Radio Times has launched a new ‘one-stop-shop’ beta website this week, which it describes as being for the next generation of television viewers.

The website provides entertainment news, recommendations, videos, sneak previews and reviews – offering suggestions based on users’ viewing habits, as well as their friends and Radio Times’ own team of critics.

The Radio Times website also claims to offer an improved listings grid that can be navigated backwards to give available for catch-up and on-demand services, including BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4oD and Demand 5.

It has been said that a cinema section and a mobile optimised version of the site will be launched soon, while the old version of the site can still be viewed until the end of September.

Also included is a ‘Watchlist’: if a user ‘follows’ their favourite show, the app will tell them the next time it is on, when it is repeated, where it can be found on demand and when the new series starts.
