Manchester agencies Down at the Social and Corporation Pop have worked together to create a social media application for Merlin Entertainment's new Sealife attraction in Dallas.

The bespoke Facebook app aims to build interest among young underwater fans and their parents before the attraction opens on 1 July.

Daisy Whitehouse, director at Down at the Social, said: "Sealife is a fantastic brand to work with and at Down at the Social we are passionate about both Merlin Entertainments and social media so we were thrilled when we were asked to create a bespoke application to build engagement with the Dallas site’s local community."

Corporation Pop's Dom Raban added: "The brief was to create a Facebook application that allows users to upload images and text which are then posted to a competition viewing gallery.

"The key to making the campaign a success is the ability to share, like and comment on the entries this application has all the right elements to get Dallas engaged.

"A bespoke content management system also allows administrators to moderate entries and view competition analytics.”
