23 Red, which has offices in London, Nottingham and Bristol, is set to close its regional operations, with managing director Stephanie Drake leaving to begin her own business.

Established in 2000, the company, which employs around 55 people across the three offices and works with clients such as Martini, Reebok, Vodafone and Bacardi, is understood to be set to concentrate on its London operation going forward.

It is understood that the bulk of clients working with the regional agencies were public sector based, which have had their marketing budgets slashed in recent times as a result of the economic downturn and the Government’s spending cuts.

Those include The East Midlands Development Agency, The Department for Transport, The COI and HM Revenue & Customs.

Regional managing director Drake, who has been rated at number 88 in The Drum Power 100 list today, is understood to be set to begin her own marketing business as a result of the closure.

It is understood that 17 people have been affected by the closures.

At the time of writing a spokesperson for the agency confirmed the news.
