TPC Media has launched and appointed former digital director of ITV as its sales director.

The sales company will emerge from TPC in Manchester, which up until earlier this year handled the advertising sales for Bauer in the UK, Spain, Mexico and the USA.

TPC Media will now aim to take on blue chip accounts across all media with David Hill joining the company as sales director having left ITV earlier this year as part of its widespread cost cutting scheme.

Mike McCafferty, former CEO of TPC Ltd commented. “Our new company will only take on business that we feel comfortable in handling and that we know we can provide positive growth for. In the past we were very limited in the accounts we were allowed to handle, now we don't have those restrictions, but we will still want to grow only when we can ensure we can build revenues successfully for our clients."

The company is already working for Jazz FM and Hubert Burda Media UK.

Hill commented: “I am really excited to take on this new role. TPC had a great reputation here in Manchester and I really believe this new company will continue and grow in the same vein. This is a very tough market, but I think this is the kind of company that can not only make a real difference here, but will give media owners a really high profile alternative.”

He concluded: “Our ambition is to be the premier multi media sales house in the North and our current portfolio reflects our commitment.”
