GambleAware has launched the first ever harms prevention campaign, specifically focused at women.

This is following new analysis commissioned by the charity which shows up to one million women are at risk from gambling harms, with female-focused gambling websites seeing a spike of 29% between December and March (in comparison to the rest of the year).

In response, GambleAware have launched a campaign to engage women around critical warning signs and where to seek support before gambling becomes harmful. The campaign launches with a new video staring Angellica Bell speaking to gambling and health experts to highlight the unique stigma and challenges women experiencing gambling harms may face.
