Laundry Service’s first creative for Papa John’s, promotes the pizza chain’s new value meal deal featuring a $12.99 price point. This is not the “new brand campaign,” which will focus on food quality when it launches in a few months. However, these spots are different from previous Papa John's ads in that they don't feature founder John Schnatter.

The spots are promoting a $12.99 value deal (large, one-topping pizza, choice of bread side and a two-liter drink) with some fun illustrations of “12.99 seconds of better” that include cute puppies and BMX trickery. These are the first of several planned executions of the promotional campaign, which will run on national and local broadcast and cable, as well as on digital and social channels. 'Better' is a play off of the brand’s long-running “Better Ingredients, Better Pizza” tagline.
