Robotics company Omron and its creative agency partner, Barbarian, just launched the 'Super Team' digital campaign, which gives audiences a humanistic look into the world of robotics and automation, and how these machines impact consumers every single day.

“Robotics” and “automation” are often seen as buzzwords these days. Consumers don’t entirely understand what they’re used for and how they operate, and many aren’t even aware that these electronics are responsible for bringing to life our most beloved and prevalent belongings. Thus, the spot showcases how Omron’s technology facilitates the creation of children’s favorite toys.

The spot follows two children as they play make believe with their band of toy characters, including Ninja Sloth and Cyber Kitty, characters that the agency created to bring an element of imagination to this world. The spot showcases how Omron’s technology facilitated the creation of these beloved toys and made it possible for the kids to succeed in their mission to save Computer City.

Most notably, the piece contrasts live action video against computer-generated imagery, which further tells the narrative of discovering something exciting again, through a child’s eyes. This brings their point of view to life, as it lends an authentic sense of realism and wonder.
