The campaign features Ian Rush, John Barnes, Sami Hyypiä, Robbie Fowler, Jamie Carragher and Luis Garcia interviewing the club’s top fans.

The 22/23 football season marks the 30th anniversary of Carlsberg sponsoring premier league club Liverpool FC. To continue celebrating the milestone, creative agency Worth Your While has developed a six-part short film series for the beer brand.

In the shorts, football legends chat to long-time supporters of the club over a pint, of course, and there are even surprise appearances from coach Jurgen Klopp, plus current players Virgil Van Djik and Megan Campbell.

One of the videos tells the story of a Malaysian fan who gets up at 3 am to watch Champions League matches, and another features the LFC women’s team discussing their successes.

The campaign will run globally across both Carlsberg’s and LFC’s digital platforms.

Lukas Lund, creative director at Worth Your While said: ”Most content series simply interview the celebrity or influencer. Because this platform is all about Carlsberg celebrating the fans, we decided to turn the tables on the standard interview format and have our Liverpool FC legends interview the fans instead. Not only did we make some fresh compelling content, but we also gave the fans an experience they’ll remember forever.”

Last August, the brand released a nostalgic spot that took viewers through three decades of memories.
