AMC, keen to instantly build an audience for its new comic book adaptation Preacher, has elected to air the pilot episode on YouTube.

Looking to gauge interest in its new show, AMC has shared it with the world on Google’s video platform.

Viewing the show as its next big hitter following Walking Dead and Breaking Bad, the Dominic Cooper-led series can be viewed below if you are based in the US (or make good use of a web proxy as such).

It comes during a period where broadcasters are proving ever more willing to use YouTube to supplement their terrestrial and VOD output.

Most recently BT Sport shared the Uefa Champions League and Europa League on YouTube, with it hoping to bring UK viewers into its subscription base with the promise of top games, all available in 4K.
