Universal Pictures promotes Back to the Future 30th edition with Jaws 19 homage trailer
To celebrate the impending return of the Back to the Future trilogy in a 30th anniversary boxset Universal Pictures has paid homage to Jaws 19 in a new trailer.
Presciently making light of endless sequels in a more innocent time preceding concepts such as the ‘reboot prequel’ and the like, the video from Universal Pictures takes viewers on a journey through the harrowing evolution of the Jaws franchise up to and including the 19th entry into the series.
If the homage is too obscure, the promotional video refers to the scene in Back to the Future II when Marty finds himself in 2015 standing in disbelief before a theatre showing Jaws 19.
Furthermore, fans on the series will notice that the Back to the Future 30th Anniversary Trilogy is scheduled for release 21 October 2015, the date McFly travelled to in the movie. Looking to further serve devotees of the cult classic, Pepsi will release a limited edition glass bottle of Pepsi Perfect which featured in the very same movie.
