Studio LR scoops Scottish Design Awards Grand Prix

StudioLR’s ‘There were our own/there were the others’ work by Alec Finlay for The National Trust was awarded the Grand Prix at last night’s Scottish Design Awards, which took place at Glasgow’s Grand Central Hotel.

Glasgow-based KVGD scooped the Chairman’s Award for its ‘Black and White Bands’ for Glasgow Press and the prestigious Agency of the Year accolade went to Pocket Rocket Creative which also took home awards in Packaging and Craft.

It was a strong night for Whitespace sweeping four Commendations and three awards for its work with the likes of Scouts Scotland and Dundee Contemporary Arts.

This year’s event was sponsored by Kompan, DN, e-architect, RAR and Urban Realm. The design category winners were chosen by an esteemed panel headed up by Lambie Nairn’s Sophie Lutman and Penny Lewis served as chair of the architecture judging.
