Nick Cohen, currently managing partner and head of content at WPP’s MediaCom, has been appointed as vice president content, strategy and brand partnerships at Little Dot Studios.

Set to join Little Dot Studios in February Cohen will take responsibility for leading the studio’s business with brands and agencies, as well as providing strategy and development expertise across the company’s activities.

Of the appointment Cohen said it was “start-ups like Little Dot who are shaping this new world and creating the content formats of tomorrow” and added that he was “incredibly excited” to be joining the business.

Cohen has been at MediaCom since 2011, when he was appointed to run the agency’s ‘Beyond Advertising’ division overseeing content, social media, SEO and digital creative. Prior to MediaCom he spent over a decade working at the forefront of digital media with broadcasters including the BBC.

Little Dot Studios was founded by All3Media executives Andy Taylor and Selma Turajlic 18 months ago creating content and managing YouTube channels for clients including ITV, Channel 4, Pepsi Max, Cadburys, Benefit Cosmetics and Unilever.

Taylor commented: “This is a vital period of growth for our business and Nick brings a wealth of experience, both from leading content for the UK’s largest agency, and from his many years as an award-winning producer and commissioner. Selma and I are delighted to have him join the team.”

All3Media, jointly owned by Discover Communications and Liberty Global, backs Little Dot Studios which in addition to working for over 30 clients runs its own original YouTube channels including Daily Mix.
