'Girls Gone Wild' founder Joe Francis has a $500,000 warrant out for his arrest in Los Angeles with the city attorney's office claiming it was issued for 'multiple reasons'.

Francis is facing seven charges from an alleged altercation in May at the 'Girls Gone Wild' HQ which saw Francis spend the night in jail.

A spokesman for the city attorney's office, Frank Mateljan, said the 41-year old was accused of multiple counts of making criminal threats, trespassing, battery and disobeying a court.

Francis also faces a probation violation from a January 2011 conviction of false imprisonment and assault.

The 'Girls Gone Wild' adult entertainment company was founded in 1997 by Francis , since 2008 its products have been sold primarily online through the 'Girls Gone Wild' site.

In February 2013 Francis filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
