Instagram unveils new service Bolt – but only in New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa
Bolt, the new “one tap picture messaging” app from Instagram has launched, but only in a select few countries – and the US and UK are not among them.
Rolling out in New Zealand, Singapore and South Africa, the app allows you to send a photo or video to a friend, which is then deleted after it sent.
The coming of the Snapchat style app was accidentally revealed last week, when ads for Bolt appeared on Instagram for various users.
“It’s insanely simple, wicked fast photo messaging…maybe too fast?” the description for the un-edited photo messaging app reads.
One tap allows a user to take a photo, and the next tap sends it. To unsend the image, users shake their phone.
