Better Together, the campaign to keep Scotland a part of the United Kingdom, has appointed M&C Saatchi as the sole creative agency for the remainder of its referendum campaign.

M&C Saatchi will advise Better Together over the final 100 days of the Scottish independence referendum campaign on advertising, marketing and other message and creative development.

Speaking about the appointment, Better Together Director of Communications Rob Shorthouse said: “We are delighted to have the team at M&C Saatchi join the campaign. They bring with them a wealth of experience of working on campaigns for political parties of many hues. Throughout the pitch process they demonstrated incredible creativity, but also a passion about, and commitment to, our cause. Like the majority of people in Scotland, they don’t want to see the United Kingdom broken up.”

Better Together currently works with Blue State Digital – advisers to the Obama Presidential Campaigns – on social and online media, a relationship that will continue.

Was going to vote NO. Now having a re think after this bit of news. Maybe "Better together" should have a re think too. Saatchi synonymous with Thatcher. Very clever marketing.

Now we might get the positive message of a confident Scotland taking a strong part in the success of the UK delivered with real strength. The majority of true Scots want the best for their country. Britain's riding a wave of success - be part of global growth, or cut yourself off? No contest!
