Condé Nast is using the authority of its House & Garden brand to launch online design, decoration, food and lifestyle destination House.

Created by the Easy Living web team, House will host Easy Living content with its former readers automatically redirected to the House site, providing an immediate unique user base of close to 200,000.

Jamie Jouning, digital director at Condé Nast explained: “By taking the successful design approach of the Easy Living site, migrating all relevant existing content and adding new features and ideas from the House & Garden team we have a very strong brand proposition with an established, engaged and passionate audience from the get go.”

House is billed as an integrated collaboration of print and digital, combining House & Garden print editorial with original new content ideas in the areas of design, food and travel.

Of the launch, House & Garden editor Susan Crewe said: “A destination for readers of House & Garden and industry insiders, House will also appeal to the new breed of affluent interiors consumer, those who are digitally savvy, with a passion for Pinterest, design blogs and fashion magazines for inspiration.”

House will go live from tomorrow (Thursday 13 March).
