Liz Nunn joins CNN Ad Sales as head of ad sales for the UK from Viacom

Viacom’s former vice president, international sales, Liz Nunn has joined CNN Ad Sales as it boosts its commitment to the UK market.

Nunn takes on the role of head of ad sales for the UK at CNN International, tasked with leading the network’s advertising sales in the UK, the Netherlands and Finland.

She will take responsibility for setting in place and delivering a growth strategy across these territories, and will also take on a broader mandate to coordinate CNN’s business relations with media agencies globally. She will work across the CNN Ad Sales multi-platform portfolio and will report to VP ad sales for Western Europe, Petra Malenicka.

Malenicka commented: “The UK is a hub of creative excellence and the centre of critical media agency relationships, and we want to build on our leading pan-regional position here. Liz’s energy, sharp mind, market knowledge and industry network are second to none. She will greatly strengthen CNN’s competitive advantage in this key market.”

She brings 13 years’ experience of delivering growth across a range companies, including six years at CNN. Her career began at Mediacom and she has spent time with Carat and Eurosport. In 2007 she joined Viacom and spent six years heading up its UK sales operation.
