As part of a planned £10m investment Inventive Leisure has worked with digital agency Cube3 to revamp the web presence of its Revolution bars.

The new look represents the evolution of the brand online and is part of a wider Evolution programme, refreshing and re-launching every bar across the estate with a more rounded offering including renewed products, emphasis on food and a greater focus on the customer experience.

Of the redesign, Carl Morris, head of marketing at Inventive Leisure, said: “Our objective with the launch of the new website is to position Revolution as a digital leader in the hospitality industry. Digital has always been important to the business as we know our customers look for innovative, stunning, user-focused platforms to engage with the brand. We are delighted to see the continued evolution of the Revolution brand successfully represented online and are confident that our customers will benefit from the innovative functionality of the new website.”

Cube3 designed the site using ‘mobile first technology’ as 55 per cent of Revolution customers who accessed the bar’s website were coming via mobile or tablet devices. Booking systems have been streamlined for ease of use on mobile and content on the site has been designed to adapt to the users device.

Filtered food and full drinks lists now represent those found in the bars with features from the bars showcased through the sites textures and colour palette. The introduction of ‘Cocktails and Kitchen’ as the key message helps to better promote the bar chain’s offering.

Each bar has its own area on the website with local information enabling customers to access events and individual bar menus, selected bars have 360° tours with geo-tagging incorporated to help visitors find their nearest bar.

Cube3’s Karl Barker, added: “Revolution is an exciting and forward-thinking business and this new website will support their commercial objectives, as well as represent the premium offering and powerful profile of their brand.”

Since July 2013 Inventive Leisure has invested £7m in the Evolution programme, with over half of Revolution bars undergoing a high-end transformation, total investment of £10m will be reached in May 2014.
