We've only just gotten used to 4G but South Korea is already carrying out tests on a next-generation 5G service.

Set to roll out by 2020, South Korea's science ministry is reportedly investing 1.6 trillion won (£900m) into the superfast mobile internet technology.

According to reports 5G allows users to download 800MB movies in one second, something which takes around 40 seconds using 4G.

A spokesperson from the science ministry, said now is "the time to take pre-emptive action to develop 5G".

Trials are believed to begin as early as next year, with thorough testing taking place during the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.
