Hearst Magazines UK names Guljeet Samra as new advertising operations director for digital business

Former director of advertising operations at Trinity Mirror Guljeet Samra has joined Hearst Corporation’s principal business in the UK as advertising operations director across its digital businesses.

Samra brings with her more than nine years’ experience in innovative digital media and commercial strategy to the role, not to mention her two and half years in senior roles at Trinity Mirror. She has previously spent time with Hearst having previously worked at Hearst Digital, the media owners UK digital arm, and has also spent time with Guardian Newspapers and Dennis Publishing.

As advertising operations director Samra has been tasked with managing digital sales operations across Hearst Magazines network of websites, mobile sites, applications and digital editions, reporting to Hearst Magazines UK digital strategy director, Rebecca Miskin, and working closely with newly-appointed group digital sales director, Stephen Edwards and the digital team.

Miskin commented: “I am delighted to welcome Guljeet back to Hearst Magazines UK in this crucial senior digital role. Hearst is at the cutting edge of digital advertising and Guljeet’s expertise across premium digital environments will be a huge asset to our business.”

Of her new role Samrasaid: “I’m delighted to be joining Hearst Magazines UK in what is a pivotal time for the business and to be given the opportunity to shape and deliver commercial digital strategy. I’m looking forward to working with Rebecca, Stephen and the team and seeing how we can further develop the fantastic Hearst UK brands digitally.”

Samra will commence her new role on 5 August.
