To celebrate the release of Film 4 funded documentary ‘The Stone Roses: Made of Stone’ Channel 4 has partnered with director Shane Meadows, The Stone Roses and Picturehouse to offer registered viewers the chance to win a selection of Stone Roses prizes including 10 pairs of tickets to Channel 4’s ‘Ultimate Stone Roses Day’.

Run via Film 4’s dedicated Stone Roses: Made of Stone website which goes live today, the competition site is open exclusively to registered users. To be in with a chance to win fans must prove their knowledge of the band by answering a multiple choice Stone Roses related question.

As well as offering 10 pairs of tickets to the ‘Ultimate Stone Roses Day’ which includes a private screening of the film at broadcaster’s cinema and access to the band’s gig in Finsbury Park, other prizes on offer are a pair of VIP tickets to the film's sold out world premiere in Manchester on Thursday 30 May with hotel accommodation and 30 pairs of tickets to UK regional screenings of the satellite broadcast of the premiere.

Steve Forde, viewer relationship manager, Channel 4, said: “We are incredibly excited about The Stone Roses: Made of Stone and really pleased we can offer our registered viewers exclusive viewings and VIP tickets to the sold out gig.”

On top of the competition the site plays host to a multimedia timeline which scrapbooks key images and events from the band’s history. Users of the site will also be treated to never-before-seen images charting the band’s early gigs, chart success, split, solo projects and reunion.

The competition will run until Friday 17 May and will be supported by direct marketing to registered users of Channel4.com, an on air trail from 4Creative, Channel 4’s in-house marketing agency, will promote the competition taking its inspiration from the site.
