A sport obsessed proud Welshman, Nick has a varied career history with a common theme at the heart of all he has done. Nick became a golf professional at the age of 18, following 7 years working out of two highly prestigious golf courses, Nick followed his love of golf and joined Wilson Sporting Goods and had a 6 year stint there as European Brand Manager, picking up marketing awards and establishing Wilson as a major player in the European golf market. Nick then created a player management business representing a number of international rugby stars, before joining WSM Communications where he spent 12 years commercialising and growing the business. At WSM Nick created a 10-year sponsorship strategy for Brit Insurance, which culminated in them becoming the England Cricket Team sponsor. Nick then moved into the world of online betting and worked for BetVictor, Sportingbet and the Kindred Group over a 5 year period. Prior to joining The Maverick Group, Nick was instrumental in accelerating the growth of cashless payment and data ecosystem business Tappit, where he created partnerships with some of the World’s most famous sporting organisations, including the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Padres. Outside of work Nick will either be found at Anfield or the Principality Stadium cheering on Liverpool and Wales or on the golf course.
