Godzilla's not really the monster depicted on the big screen - he just needed a Snickers
Snickers has forgone its usually celebrity talent, like Betty White, Robin Williams or Aretha Franklin, and selected Godzilla to star in the latest ‘You’re not you when you’re hungry’ ad.
Devised by Snickers’ creative agency BBDO New York, the spot shows the prehistoric giant to be nothing like his on screen depiction but instead a lovable, friendly dinosaur who enjoys nothing more than a day at the beach.
Well, until he gets hungry.
BBDO thought it appropriate to bring a movie touch to this latest commercial as it’s set to air during the Oscars on Sunday 2 March.
Godzilla was also the inspiration for Empire magazine's supersize issue this week. The special edition issue celebrates the new Godzilla film released in May.
