Looking for a new job this Monday morning? Well he’s something a little more out of the ordinary as the governor of Svalbard, Olsen Ingerø has advertised for a polar bear spotter.

The job, which mainly requires having a loud voice to scare off the bears, will see the successful applicant work in the Norwegian archipelago where they would be tasked with keeping watch for the arctic creatures.

The need for such a post has become necessary to easy the fears of researchers working in the area, which is inhabited by around 2,400 people outnumbered by the 3,000 bears which are said to also live in the region.

If you do decide to apply, best pack a jumper or two and a woolly hat.
