Best Performing Scottish Companies 2011

Studied art and fashion design at Manchester then Westminster University. In the past 15 years Colin has been part of the buying team at Burberry, an Angel Investor, corporate film and TV producer, and for the last 6 years has run his own digital agency. An online social adoptee from 2005. He’s an exhibited artist.

Every year I take a long look at The Sunday Times list of British private firms with the fastest growing profits to assess the Scottish ones. Supported by PWC the Profit Track 100 looks at the latest three years of available audited accounts – hardly a social media related story but hell I’m allowed life outside of strategy planning!

The Scottish companies are fewer this year than have ever been listed in the last 12 we’ve got a hill to climb, out of 100 there are only 3:

34th Peacock Salt Ayr, KA8 8AE – 74.39% annual profit growth

62nd Balhousie Care Group Forfar, DD8 2AD – 55.91% annual profit growth

69th Weldex Crane Hire Inverness, IV1 1UA – 51.61% annual profit growth
