The beer brand is on a mission to end bitterness, starting with one of the biggest love-hate relationships in Marvel: Deadpool and Wolverine.

To promote Heineken Silver, the beer brand has stepped into the Marvel Universe, this time to celebrate the release of the upcoming movie Deadpool & Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

In the short spot, viewers see both the Deadpool and Wolverine characters rise above hostility, offering to share a beer rather than fight.

This tongue-in-cheek ad brilliantly delivers more of what Marvel fans crave while placing Heineken Silver at the heart of the story. By leveraging the iconic rivalry between Deadpool and Wolverine, the beer brand not only promotes its product but also entertains and engages a dedicated fanbase.

To coincide with the spot, there’s also a world-first: a joint statement from the two characters themselves, which is bound to raise a few smiles. On the project, both Reynolds and Jackman said: “One thing that Deadpool and Wolverine can agree on is that Toad is not in anyone’s top 10 mutants. But that’s not why you’re here.

“The other thing we agree on is that we’re happy to be entering the MCU with Heineken Silver. Nothing gets you through the long and frequently confusing days in the multiverse like the crisp and refreshing taste of Heineken Silver.”
