MLS’s star-studded spot is a rallying cry for soccer devotees anticipating the 2024 season and 2026 Fifa World Cup.

Major League Soccer (MLS), The United States’ highest soccer league, has today released a new campaign to build excitement for the 2024 season: ‘Our Soccer is Calling.’

The league’s 29th season kicks off tomorrow, Wednesday, February 21, with a match between Inter Miami and Real Salt Lake. Set to Gotopo and Don Elektron’s Latin electronic track Sacudete and featuring stadiums jam-packed with famous footballers and fans, the spot is designed to welcome existing audiences and newcomers alike to the league.

Camilo Durana, executive vice-president of MLS, commented: “This campaign is reflective of who we are and captures the pride and passion of our fans and teams. ‘Our Soccer is Calling’ aims to ignite our communities and invite new fans to join us as we kick off an extraordinary season.”

The ad builds on MLS’s existing ‘Our Soccer’ campaign, which kicked off in 2018 with a spot featuring Atlanta-based rapper and Atlanta United fan 2 Chainz.

Cornerstone, MLS’s creative agency of record, ideated and developed the campaign. Broadcast spots in English, Spanish and French will run across Apple TV, Fox, TSN and RDS, as well as the league’s digital and social channels, among other distribution points.
