The Drum Live Agenda revealed

The Drum Live is a two-day event that promises to delve into the sweeping changes taking place across the marketing and media landscape.

Some of the industry’s most senior marketers will take to the stage to honestly discuss the challenges and opportunities they are facing today, from AI and the climate crisis to how they’re finding growth amid economic uncertainty.

Ahead of the event, here’s a handy guide to some of the sessions you won’t want to miss.

Day 1

9.30am: Daniel Hulme, WPP’s chief AI officer, will deliver a keynote on AI’s impact on business and society.

10.20am: The Drum’s editor-in-chief, Gordon Young, will lead a panel discussion on the new era of AI. Joining Young on stage will be Jamie Allan from the most-talked-about company this year, Nvidia.

2pm: The chief marketing officer at HSBC will join The Drum’s Lynn Lester for a fireside chat where they’ll discuss everything from the finance giant’s ‘marketing reset’ to how it’s injecting humor into its ads.

2.20pm: Marketing bosses from Pret A Manger, Skyscanner and Lucky Saint will delve into how they approach omnichannel retail in a challenging economic environment, revealing the shifts they are making to remain agile and in touch.

4pm: Ever wanted to take a deep dive into KFC’s media strategy? Now’s your chance. The fast food chain’s head of media for the UK and Ireland will be joined by planning chiefs from Wavemaker and Finecast to discuss how to futureproof your strategy.

Day 2

9.30am: The Drum’s editor Cameron Clarke will be joined by marketing bosses from Canada Goose and Dunkin’ Donuts to discuss The Future CMO.

10.15am: Advertising legend Sir John Hegarty will take to the stage alongside marketing leads from Reckitt and Sky to debate whether data truly helps or hinders creative thinking.

11.25am: In an industry that’s changing, how can you create brand standout and differentiation? This was the key challenge for Hyundai, which it addressed with ‘New Dawn’ – a campaign that made it the most talked about brand in the UK earlier this year. In this session, head of brand communications Richard Wolfe will explain the background to the work and share some of the successes and challenges faced along the way in a live Q&A.

1.30pm: Jonathan Bottomley, global CMO at Calvin Klein, will be interviewed by Cameron Clarke. You won’t want to miss this exclusive insight into the marketing strategy of one of the biggest brands in the world.

2.30pm: We sit down with acclaimed footballer and broadcaster Rio Ferdinand, as well as serial tech entrepreneur, founder and CEO of WeAre8 Sue Fennessy, for a conversation exploring the rapid rise of WeAre8, how it is revolutionizing digital media and its mission to unite hundreds of millions of people in support of the planet.

Tickets to the event are still available.
