Aldi trolls Nando’s with ‘nan goes’ ads promoting piri piri range
The supermarket is taking its teasing message directly to the chicken chain’s stores with its digivan ads.

Aldi billboards outside Nandos / Aldi
Nando’s has become the latest target of Aldi’s trolling, with the supermarket chain parking its cheeky mobile billboards outside Nando’s restaurants as it promotes its new piri piri range.
The out-of-home ads have the slogan ‘Nan goes to Aldi for her piri piri chicken’ and feature a picture of a nan presenting her Peri-Peri-inspired dinner.

The stunt mirrors Aldi’s trolling of Marks & Spencer last year following the trademark legal battle over their Colin and Cuthbert caterpillar cakes.
Leeds and Hamilton are the main locations for the ads.
