BN’s ‘do doo do doo-do’ jingle returns to radio after a decade off air

The noughties smiley face biscuit taps into nostalgia to supercharge its return to supermarket shelves.

McVitie’s has revived BN biscuit’s iconic jingle, ’BN BN, do doo do doo-do,’ for a fresh radio campaign.

Pladis, which owns McVitie’s, first brought the biscuits back in January 2022 and the jingle’s return is an attempt to further tap into noughties nostalgia.

The radio ads will run across stations including Capital, Heart, Radio X, Smooth, Absolute Radio Network, Hits Radio, Kiss Network and Magic Network.

The original ads first ran on TV 24 years ago, from September 1999 until 2014.

Aslı Özen Turhan, the chief marketing officer for the UK and Ireland at Pladis, said: “We’re so excited to bring back the beloved ‘BN BN’ tune, which is undoubtedly a nostalgic jingle for many – especially those who remember the original 90s TV commercial.”
