A ‘Midnight in Paris’ themed costume party, a historic venue, and a famous host in the shape of Laurence Rickard – it can only be the annual YunoJuno Freelancer Awards (The Sweet FAs), which celebrates the 4.1 million freelancers in the UK and their contribution to the creative industries.

Taking place at The Honorable Society of the Middle Temple in London on June 30, 500 freelancers came together for the ninth edition of the annual awards ceremony; 18 of which took home coveted awards across AI, data, design, creative, market research, PR, social media, project management, and more. As media partner of this year’s award, The Drum’s editor-in-chief Gordon Young (donning his signature flat cap fitting the theme) handed over the final award of the evening to Havas and YouTube Creative Studio, who were jointly awarded the coveted ‘Client of the Year’ title. The event was also supported by contractor insurance providers Kingsbridge and all ticket sales were donated to The Mental Health Foundation.

“We are incredibly proud to create these awards to recognize and celebrate the enormous contribution the freelancer community deliver to innovation, world-class work and company culture all over the world. They are truly the future of work,” said Shib Mathew, co-founder and executive chairman of YunoJuno.
