In a new campaign, Opendoor says bird watchers and astronauts can buy and sell homes wherever they are – even space – if they have cell service.

Digital real estate company Opendoor has released an ad campaign showing how its app empowers people to sell and buy homes from just about anywhere.

Two new spots depict prospective homebuyers perusing Opendoor on their phones and finding their dream homes in presumably inopportune times – that is until they find out that Opendoor lets them buy and sell homes on their own time.

One spot, called ‘Out of Town,’ for example, sees four astronauts taking off in a rocket to the great beyond. At that very moment, a woman browsing the Opendoor app notices a home with an open kitchen and stunning tiles. Viewers quickly learn that she will be stuck at a space station for months – but also that Opendoor’s ‘Buy+Sell‘ feature allows her to sell her home when she’s ready.

In another ad dubbed ‘Migration,’ a birdwatching couple scans for migratory birds but notices something else instead – a perfect home for sale on Opendoor – while one scans a pond with a telescope and the other swims in the pond disguised as a swan. The two get so excited about the listing that they scare away all of the wildlife in their vicinity.

“‘Buy+Sell’ with Opendoor enables consumers to buy and sell their homes simultaneously and stress-free,” says Opendoor’s senior vice-president of marketing David Corns. “Our digital-first approach dramatically simplifies the process, providing certainty and flexibility to the consumer so they buy, sell, and move on their own schedule. This newest campaign work brings these great benefits to life in a fun way.”
