The Drum Awards for Marketing readies major global celebration for 2023

New for 2023, The Drum's biggest Marketing Awards to date will reward the global marketing industry's finest work, people and companies across three dedicated live TV celebrations.

For the first time, The Drum Awards for Marketing will take place as three landmark live TV broadcasts in 2023 celebrating the best of the industry in the US and Americas, APAC and EMEA.

The new events bring a global footprint to the existing Marketing Awards. All three shows are now open for entry.

Juries formed of the world's leading brands will judge the contests, with the results announced in front of studio audiences, and broadcast as live TV shows in May and June.

The initiative will give brands, agencies and media owners the recognition they deserve within their local markets, while at the same time ensuring the global community has the chance to gain insights from the winning work.

Diane Young, chief executive of The Drum, said:

By broadcasting these shows as live TV, they reach an audience of thousands worldwide, in fact they will rank among the world's most-viewed marketing award ceremonies."

Expanding on the new program, Young added: “This fits into our vision that marketing can change the world. By sharing best practice, the best companies and the best people with our readers, we empower them to make better decisions. That alone helps to raise standards across our community, ensuring the marketing industry really can make a really positive contribution.

"And of course the TV format is better for the environment. By investing in quality TV content – that can be both viewed live or on demand – The Drum ensures audiences can engage with the event wherever they are, without having to increase their carbon footprint through travel."

The Drum Awards for Marketing are part of a global program that covers every part of the marketing ecosystem. As well as regional awards, The Drum will host an annual Awards Festival which will take place in October, including competitions covering Content, Digital and Creative.
