The Almond Board of California has teamed up with Marvel Studios to push the legumes in a spot tying in with new release Thor: Love and Thunder.

As part of the campaign titled ‘Do You Almond?’ a 30-second TV spot was released showing a woman at a fairground taking a shot at the hammer strike game. When she sets aside her almonds for her turn, she takes the hammer in hand and levitates, striving the game with a force reminiscent of a superhero.

The small print at the bottom of the ad states that almonds contain plant protein, which contributes to maintaining muscle mass. The voiceover ends the ad with the tagline, ‘Do You Almond?’

The ad was created by London-based independent creative agency Isobel. The movie will be in theatres from July 8.
