The Drum Awards for Marketing nominations revealed

The nominations for The Drum Awards for Marketing have been revealed. The awards, sponsored by PromoVeritas and Financial Times, recognize brands and marketing teams that truly understand their customers. Focusing on outcomes not outputs, they are open to teams of any size, anywhere in the world, that can prove their campaigns have had a measurable effect.

This year, The Drum had a record number of entries from companies around the globe. In the Advertising category, the likes of Klarna, HSBC, Asda, Starling Bank made the shortlist after consideration from the judging panel.

The Best Brand Experience or Event category proved particularly popular among those entering and the judges whittled down a final list of nine contenders for the award, including work for Riot Games, Johnny Walker and Virgin Media.

Brixton Brewery (pictured), Hellman’s and Twitter are among the top brands to be nominated in the popular Social Purpose category.

New categories for the 2022 Awards included the Most Effective Use of Promotion, sponsored by PromoVeritas, which saw nominations for clients including Mars Wrigley, Heinz, Pizza Hut and Xbox.

The judging panel this year was comprised of almost 100 industry leaders across a variety of sectors. Among them were Lex Bradshaw-Zanger, the chief marketing and digital officer for L’Oréal UK & Ireland, Javier Meza marketing senior vice-president for LATM at Coca-Cola, and Sheena Sauvaire, chief marketing officer at Net-a-Porter.
