WPP-owned Mindshare names Helen McRae as APAC CEO
WPP-owned and Asia-born media network Mindshare is set to get its new APAC CEO in Helen McRae.
Mindshare APAC's new CEO Helen McRae
In her new role, the Australia-born McRae will be based in Singapore to lead the region and work towards extending its leadership across all areas of media and marketing.
New role and mandate
- She has been at the agency for over 15 years – her most recent remit was as Mindshare’s EMEA and Worldwide Team CEO, leading the network’s 26 markets in the EMEA region and its global client teams based out of a London hub - a role she has held since 2019.
- In her previous roles, she led Mindshare UK and ran the flagship Unilever account globally from 2008-2012. Before joining Mindshare in 2004, she has worked in roles at other agencies across Asia in Thailand, Malaysia, Korea and Australia.
- “Asia, the birth-place of Mindshare, has always been the envy of the industry in the region and I am looking forward to partnering with GroupM and WPP in the region”, said an excited McRae about her move to the APAC region.
- Helen’s success with her role in the EMEA and Worldwide Team in London and her deep insight for our clients looking to the West to expand, as well as a rich history of working in the Asia Pacific from her prior roles, make her well-suited to help Mindshare Asia with the next phase of our growth, points out Adam Gerhart, global CEO of Mindshare.
